The flight time isn't as important as the refire rate. As the shortbow is much faster-firing I'm more likely to be able to fire the bow when I need to, whereas even with an IAS you're going to miss some interrupts if you're using a slow-firing bow. To me the shortbow is simply the best bow for interrupting.

I don't think you quite understand how bows work.

Interrupts (and a few other attack skills) have cast times. This means the attack speed or refire rate of your weapon has no impact at all.

The only thing that matters when interrupting is FLIGHT SPEED, the speed of the arrow once it has left your bow. The recurve bow is the best option, no question.

I stand corrected. My belief was that if you triggered the interrupt in the middle of a normal attack, the normal attack had to finish before one could fire the interrupt, but I just tested: I was wrong, and you're right.
